meeting.

OPPORTUNITY FOR CITIZENS TO SPEAK
Mayor Currey spoke to the issue of the lease for the Friends of Center Cemetery.
NEW BUSINESS
Land Adjacent to 800 Connecticut Boulevard
Jeanne Webb, the Development Director, and Rich Gentile, the Assistant Corporation Counsel initiated discussion on this property.

to refer the issue of town-owned land adjacent to 800 Connecticut
Boulevard to the Real Estate Acquisition & Disposition Committee to
establish a value for the lease.

to allow the Administration to move forward with the Request for
Proposal (RFP) for the development of town-owned property (24,600.98
SF) abutting 800 Connecticut Boulevard.

Leases for:
ERASE
MOTION By Don Pitkin
seconded by Marc Weinberg
to recommend that the Town Council approve a 3-year lease for ERASE
(East of the River Action for Substance-Abuse Elimination) for 1,343.5 SF
located at the former McCartin School, beginning on August 18, 2008
through August 17, 2011 for $3.19/SF and reimburse the Town of East
Hartford for a portion of the cost of utilities based on the amount of leased
space.

YMCA
MOTION By Don Pitkin
seconded by Marc Weinberg
to recommend that the Town Council approve a 3-year lease for the
YMCA of 5,144 SF located at the former McCartin School for their child
care programs; beginning August 18, 2008 through August 17, 2011 for
$2.27/SF and to reimburse the Town of East Hartford for a portion of
utilities based on the amount of leased space.

Friends of Center Cemetery
MOTION By Don Pitkin
seconded by Marc Weinberg
to recommend that the Town Council approve the renewal of a lease for
the Friends of Center Cemetery, Inc. for 763 SF located at the former
McCartin School beginning August 1, 2008 through July 31, 2011 for
$1.00 per year with no charges for utility consumption.

ChildPlan
MOTION By Don Pitkin
seconded by Marc Weinberg
to recommend that the Town Council approve the lease for ChildPlan,
Inc. for 672 SF on the south side of the East Hartford Cultural Community
Center for $1.50 SF ($84.00/month) beginning April 1, 2008 through
March 31, 2011.
